After months of religious Craiglist searching, I finally came across a 1995 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition 2.5 hours away in Austin, TX. I did not want anything short of the Sahara Edition because my focus was to build a jeep as screen accurate as possible. Since they used a 1993 Jeep Wrangler Sahara in the movie, that was what I wanted. Plus, the Sahara edition is super rare, and is beautiful with the extra upgrades it comes with from the factory. So I made a phone call, set up a time, and made my way to Austin with the gf to scope it out, keeping an open mind that these Jeeps are 20 years old so they will not be perfect. It was love at first sight (the second time, after my girlfriend I mean), despite the long laundry list of imperfections and problems that came with it.
